For over
30 years, Massoth has been the official electronics partner of LGB®,
the first model railroad for indoors and outdoors, developing high
quality sound and digital equipment. In 1973 the first sound boards
were created and shown at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 1974. Since
then, Massoth and LGB® set the quality of realistic sound systems.
Massoth
supply the high end users of LGB digital equipment and can offer
8 and 12 amp loading.
The DiMAX Navigator (like the
LGB loco and universal remote) can be supplied radio or cable connection.
The Navigator can also be used with the new LGB MTS III Central
Station, due out later this year.
We
have a Massoth set up for demonstration on our layout so if you
would like to see it in action please call at the shop to see the
features in operation.

Upgrades
The Massoth system can be upgraded to the latest version, via their website, using a lead from the Central Station to your PC. This will generally require a serial to USB convertor.
However if you are not confident to carry out these upgrades yourself, or do not have a PC, we offer this service in-house for a reasonable charge.
Upgrades available at present are:
DiMAX 1200Z Central Station (8135001) v2.30
DiMAX 800Z Central Station (8136001) v2.30
DiMAX Navigator (8134001/8134501/8134701) v1.50 plus graphics
DiMAX RC Receiver (8133001/8133501) v 1.20
DiMAX Transducer (8138501) v1.51
DiMAX PC Module (8175001) v1.00 New
Items (2007):
eMOTION
Voltage Buffer (8151001) – this is used to bridge
short track voltage interruptions particularly or small locos with
short distances between axles. The motor and the special functions
are powered from the buffer for the duration of the interruption.
Function Decoder (8152001) – a particularly
small function decoder (approx 28 x 14mm) with 8 function channels
for switching light functions for example. The device can also be
used to control up to 2 servo drives. It is supplied with 10cm of
cable and matching 8-way interface connector for the new LGB 30520
RhB Gourmino dining cards and the LGB 31520 2nd class RhB passenger
cars, both of which are supplied with new digital interface. If
the function decoder is to be installed in other cars, the connector
can be removed and installed elsewhere.
eMOTION
XLS Sound Decoder -
this combines a running decoder with a suitably powerful decoder
power amplifier (3 amps) for up to 2 motors and a particularly high-quality
sound amplifier with 6 usable sound channels. The function range
is rounded off by 11 switching outputs and 4 contact inputs. The
sound decoder provides optimum analogue and digital running and,
in analogue operation particularly provides the sound function starting
from a few volts only. The eMOTION XLS sound decoder is suitable
for all generations of the LGB MTS.
DiMAX
PC Module (8175001) -
a PC interface for updating DiMAX (and MTS III) components like,
for example, the DiMAX Navigator, radio receiver, bus converter,
feedback module, etc. and in future, also the decoder and sound
decoder of Massoth. Updating is performed directly via the track.
PIKO
Taurus Lighting Kit – two different PIKO Taurus digital
lighting kits are available. One for use with a decoder and one
kit which includes the Massoth eMOTION XLdecoder.
A
Customer's Comment:
"Visualise
my garden for a moment. Walk down to the beck, cross it and continue
over the tunnel to the right hand side of the pond. Continue down
to the far end of the pond and STILL CONTROL THE TRAINS including
sound and lights etc.
Now I cannot estimate how far away from the transmitting aerial
which was INSIDE the conservatory but it must be 200 yards plus
! ! !
Absolutely fabulous no wonder people rave about this".
